Mark Paley

Registered Pharmacist/Director

Mark Paley is a registered pharmacist (R.Ph.) with more than three decades of experience. Mark is committed to helping his clients obtain optimal health and well-being throughout every stage of life.

As owner operator of Carnegie-Sargent’s Pharmacy Inc., Mark oversees all aspects of the pharmacy operations. Founded in 1852, Carnegie-Sargent’s Pharmacy and Health Center is really a compilation of three Pharmacies; John F. Carnegie Drugs, Sargents Drug Store and Water Tower Drug Store.

Mark recognizes the complimentary relationship between nutrition, fitness, medication, self-care and optimal health. Therefore, in 1996, he created Integrated Health Care Systems Inc., a health promotion company whose staff assists clients in finding a healthier lifestyle. Providers at Integrated are chosen very carefully for their interest in developing lasting relationships. Personalized care plans employ the latest technologies to help clients accomplish individual goals.

The third element of this center is Water Tower Nursing and Home Care, established in 1997, of which Mark serves as Director and Agency Manager. Water Tower Nursing and Home Care is a team of home care providers dedicated to caring for and working with persons who want to maintain an undiminished quality of life. The objective of this care is to ensure the clients comfort, security, privacy and dignity; whether it is in the client’s home, in an assisted living environment or a health facility.

Marks’ triumvirate of companies, the For Good Health GroupSM, works hand-in-hand to provide comprehensive health care services for his clients.

In addition to his business endeavors, Mark has volunteered as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Illinois (Chicago) College of Pharmacy and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Pharmacy in Downers Grove, Illinois. Mark is currently a Caregiver Action Network volunteer.

His professional affiliations include; the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, National Community Pharmacists Association, American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Pharmacists Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, IDEA Health and Fitness Association, American College of Sports Medicine, National Wellness Institute, Home Care Association of America, and Caregiver Action Network.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a licensed pharmacist in Illinois, Arizona, and Nevada.

Kathy Kwiatkowski

Director of Operations

Hard work and dedicated to getting it right, Kathy is tireless in her pursuit of perfection.

It’s Kathy’s responsibility to ensure all administrative operations are running smoothly, efficiently and compliantly.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and rules
  • Complete, maintain and submit reports and records as required
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining administrative, operational and personnel policies and procedures to ensure best of practices and cost effectiveness.
  • Recruit qualified caregivers
  • Procurement of all types of insurance
  • Assist with legal matters
  • Maintain personnel records and handle matters pertaining to human resources
  • Oversee payroll, billing and client insurance operations
  • Oversee bookkeeping operations
  • Completion of monthly financial statements
  • Maintain accounting and corporate records

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, Implement and Monitor quality assurance standards
  • Support customer service strategies
  • Support industry associations with the goal of developing best of practices
  • Develop relationships with potential referral sources (business and health care partners)

Our Bookkeeper

Our bookkeeper is MUCH more than a book keeper, she is record keeper extraordinaire.

It’s our bookkeeper’s responsibility to ensure all payroll, billing, accounts receivables, accounts payables and insurance operations are running smoothly, efficiently and compliantly.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Retrieve daily voice mail message for WTN employee check in/out
  • Prepare WTN weekly client billing
  • Prepare WTN bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare monthly CSRX house account statements
  • Prepare and file monthly CSRX sales tax and soft drink tax
  • Responsible for Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables for the FGHG
  • Assist and support the Director of Operations with any book-keeping needed

Michelle brings a wealth of patient care knowledge and experience as a registered nurse to Water Tower Nursing and Home Care. The care she delivers is extremely detail-oriented and professional as well as caring and compassionate.

Our Supervisor

Supervisor

Our supervisor at Water Tower Nursing and Home Care, Inc. is more than just a supervisor.

The supervisor works side by side with our director Mark Paley and is cross-trained and fully integrated into every aspect of the business.

The supervisor is someone caregivers and co-workers rely on. The supervisor is intimately familiar with standard operating procedures and is an invaluable asset to clients, their family, friends, business and health partners.

In addition to Water Tower Nursing, the Supervisor is responsible for customer service and merchandise management at our sister company Carnegie Sargents Pharmacy. When clients request delivery, the Supervisor is the go-to-person. Whether you are in the neighborhood or overseas, the Suspervisor can arrange to send you the products you want in a timely manner.
